It’s been a while.

Happy New Year!!!! (Yes… I know it’s February )

So… here we are. February. And I’m just getting around to my New Year blog post. No excuses, I missed it. Life happened. But hopefully, that’s something I’ll do better with going forward.

I’m genuinely hoping 2026 is a year of progress, growth, and most importantly, looking after ourselves. The cake world is constantly evolving new styles, new trends, new strategies popping up left, right, and centre. And honestly? I still feel like I’ve got a few more miles left in this baking journey of mine.

Now, let me be real for a second… I have caught myself thinking about what the end of Deluxury Cakes might look like.
But I brush that thought off pretty quickly. (Even though my mind keeps whispering, “Start thinking…” eek )
I’ll revisit that when the time is right. For now, we keep it moving.

This month is all about getting my ducks in a row. I’ve got an upcoming EHO visit, so it’s paperwork, insurance, food hygiene, and all the not-so-glamorous bits being ticked off. I’m praying hard that I retain my 5-star rating, so please… wish me luck
