No More Smallies – It’s Big Cake Energy Only!

So, I’ve officially posted my follow up blog – and you know what? It feels like sending my first child off to school. A little scary, a lot exciting, and definitely overdue. Now, let’s get into it. I’ve had a good run with my classic smallie cakes and cupcakes. Honestly, they were the OGs of Deluxury Cakes (remember lockdown cakes?? they took of from those ‘rona days - LOL). Cute, dependable, loved by many. But like all great things (RIP floppy disks, DVD’s and MSN Messenger), it’s time to evolve.

From this point on, it’s all about bespoke cakes. The ones that make people stop mid-convo or stop you in your tracks and say, “Wait a min.. you made that?” Yes, that kind of cake. Here’s the thing though: bespoke means custom. And custom means no fixed prices. Because when it comes to creating edible masterpieces, one size absolutely does not fit all. Now, I’m not blind to the times we’re living in. Cost of living? More like cost of everything. I totally understand if cakes aren't at the top of the priority list right now.

But hear me out…

Let’s say you’ve got an event. You’ve found the perfect outfit – it’s giving main character energy. But your shoes? Worn out or worse, missing. That outfit is suddenly just… an outfit. That’s what a cake does for a celebration. It pulls the whole thing together. It’s the final flourish. The edible exclamation mark. Whether it’s a birthday, baby shower, or “just because” gathering – the cake matters. And yes, it does come at a cost – because I’m not just whipping up flour and sugar here. I’m crafting a moment. A memory. A slice of joy.
